Congratulations to Dr. Emily Hall for being recognized as a UW-Madison Teaching Academy Fellow! Teaching Academy Fellows have demonstrated sustained teaching excellence and a commitment to advancing the mission of the Academy. Dr. Hall has done this in a number of leadership positions: as Director of the Writing Fellows Program and currently as co-director of the Writing Center and the Writing Across the Curriculum program.
Laila Amine has been awarded a residency fellowship for the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture for 21-22. She is also the winner of a National Endowment for the Humanities summer stipend!
Congratulations to Mary Fiorenza, who has been awarded the 2021 Alliant Energy James R. Underkofler Excellence in Teaching Award. This is a systemwide award that honors teaching excellence among faculty and staff.
Mark Vareschi, MoniqueAllewaert, and Sarah Wells were all awarded an IRH Summer Research Fellowship for this summer. They will join a cohort of 4 other scholars in the humanities. This fellowship provides support for tenured faculty to work on their next big project over the summer.
