We are lucky to begin the year with several new members of the department. Please join us in welcoming the following people:
- Erin Polnaszek Boyd is our new full-time undergraduate advisor. She is formally from the UW-Madison Study Abroad Program, and has an M.A. in English from UW-Eau Claire.
- Jennifer Walsh joins us as our new Graduate Coordinator for ITS and Timetable Coordinator.
- Vivian Ye is the new ESL office manager.
- Dr. Ellen Cecil-Lemkin is a new Writing Center Faculty Associate. She joins us from Florida State University, where she earned her Ph.D. in Rhetoric & Composition.
- Leila Chatti joins our Creative Writing program as the Mendota Lecturer in Poetry and author of Deluge, which is on the long list for the PEN open book award.
- Dantiel W. Moniz is our Creative Writing program’s Mendota Lecturer in fiction, and has recently published her first collection Milk Blood Heat. Next month Dantiel will be participating in the Wisconsin Book Festival!
