UW BookLab is a University of Wisconsin–Madison research initiative in book science — sometimes called biomolecular humanities — exploring old books and paper as biological and material archives. In coordination with the University of Toronto’s Old Books, New Science Lab, we study the traces embedded in historical books and work to build pathways into the field for early-career researchers.
