Bio:
Maurice Weakley is a Literary Studies PhD student at UW Madison. He is interested in radical social justice movements in the twentieth century and the ways literature and other art forms give a voice to marginalized people, instruct both the in-group and the out-group how to move forward, and work to actualize imagined futures. He is specifically interested in these concepts as they relate to race, community, gender, and sexuality.
