Erin Polnaszek Boyd

I have been at UW–Madison since 2008, working in both study abroad and academic advising. I am curious about the relationship between social media, mental health, and the growing challenges of loneliness and disconnection as it relates to the college experience. I spend time considering who isn’t showing up and why as a way to reveal barriers students encounter. I am motivated by helping build communities where students can learn, grow, and thrive together.

Outside of work, I love to read, spend time with my family, drink good coffee, listen to all kinds of music, and run. Lately, I have been inspired by NASA’s Artemis II mission and the Cocodona 250 ultramarathon.
