Bio
Benjamin Hawkins is a PhD student in Literary Studies. His foci include political aesthetics in literature in the 20th and 21st centuries with special emphasis on the political of poetry. He is also interested in eschatological thinking and futurity with a strong emphasis on political economy and ecocritical approaches. Before coming to UW, Benjamin received his MA in Literature from Portland State University and taught at George Fox University in Oregon.
