Bio:
Andrew Buchheim (he/him) is a graduate student in the Literary Studies PhD program at UW-Madison. He is originally from the Madison area, received a BA in English and Political Science from Wartburg College in northeastern Iowa, and returned home to pursue his passions in literature and teaching. He works primarily at the intersection of disability studies and early modern English literature, thinking about how bodies differ and undergo change on the page and on the stage. His research has centered on the ways bodies and narratives inform one another, and he is interested in scholarship as a means of investigating and reconstructing premodern models of personhood and disability.
