Join the UW–Madison community for Fill the Hill, the university’s annual 24-hour fundraising event. This year, the Department of English is joining the celebration, and we’d love for you to help us fill Bascom Hill with flamingos and support opportunities for English students.

Gifts to the Department of English help provide students with opportunities beyond the classroom, including writing awards and scholarships, internships, research training and mentorship, conference travel, guest speakers, and community experiences.

Gifts start at just $5, and anyone can participate.

Join us on Bascom Hill on Friday

There will be plenty of ways to get involved throughout Fill the Hill, including:

• Flamingo Scavenger Hunt
• Plant a Flamingo
• Flamingo selfie stands
• Origami flamingos
• Fling-a-Flamingo and Flamingo Toss
• Bucky on Bascom Hill from 12:30–1:30 p.m. Friday
• And plenty of flamingos!

On Friday morning, the large lawn flamingos will take over Bascom Hill from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
