You are invited to celebrate the launch of Amanda Shubert’s Seeing Things: Virtual Aesthetics in Victorian Culture. Amanda will be in conversation with Dr. Sarah Anne Carter in an event co-sponsored by the UW–Madison Center for Design and Material Culture. Attendees will also have the chance to explore and play with 19th-century optical toys, bringing Victorian visual culture to life.
