Bio

I am from central Montana and have a BA in Sociology from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, and an MA in TESOL from Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis. Much of my motivation for English linguistics is the application of linguistic knowledge to instruction. Broadly, I am interested in applied linguistics, with a particular focus on how social and situational contexts influence the lexico-grammatical features of different genres. In addition to English Language and Linguistics, I am pursuing a doctoral minor in Community-Engaged Scholarship from the Morgridge Center for Public Service.
