Workshop: Providing Supportive Feedback to Multilingual Writers (Inclusive Pedagogy)

Classes at UW-Madison often include writers from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. How can instructors provide feedback that honors and cultivates the resources that these students bring to their writing assignments? During this workshop we will discuss strategies for providing supportive feedback to multilingual writers, including international students. We will learn more about the curriculum that ESL students on this campus have experienced and spend most of the workshop working directly with student samples offered by participants.
