Undergraduate Event: Reclaiming Me: A Journey Through Intersectionality Launch Party (Melanin Speaking)

Melanin Speaking is a student-run literary magazine with the goal of publishing and giving voices to the students of colors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We started off as a simple blog and have since blossomed into an online publication that shares students of colors’ work. As an organization, we also host writing workshops, open mics, and other events to facilitate community-building. Although we are primarily literature-based, we realize that not everyone is a writer, but everyone has a story to tell. And thus we accept storytelling in any form: art, poetry, fiction, article, personal anecdotes and reflections, etc.
