Submissions for the 2026 Midwest Undergraduate Conference on the Humanities (MUCH) are now open! MUCH is a gleeful rejection of the idea that humanities scholarship is “much ado about nothing,” bringing together undergraduate researchers, writers, and creators from across the Midwest and beyond.
Students are invited to submit work from any humanities course—critical or creative. You do not need to be a humanities major to participate. Accepted presenters will give a 10–15 minute talk (about 1300–2000 words), with creative writers encouraged to present multiple pieces with brief critical framing.
