As the semester wrapped up and campus shifted into summer mode, May brought meaningful professional milestones for members of our English community.
Awards and Achievements
- Emerald Rutledge (Literary Studies PhD student) has accepted a Visiting Assistant Professor position in African American literature at Bucknell University beginning in Fall 2026.
- Sydney Goggins (Composition and Rhetoric PhD student and TA Coordinator of the Online Writing Center) received the Holtz Center Summer Scholar Award to support archival research this summer.
