The Mendota Seminar — Cultural Intersections and Collisions 1: Science
June 23-26, 2013Location: University Club (Sun) and Helen C. White Hall 7191 (Mon-Wed) at UW-Madison
We invite alumni and friends to join us for a series of talks and discussions that will begin with a reception and dinner with faculty and continue for the next three days, with morning talks and a variety of afternoon events. For 2013 our topic is the intersection of science with literature, writing, and linguistics. During the seminar, our faculty will explore a diverse array of scientific practices and methods, from technological expertise to the environment.
We welcome alumni back to our department, and we welcome newcomers to our joint consideration of the presence of scientific inquiry in literature, language, and writing.
→ Online registration is now closed. You may register with us at the seminar. If you are planning on doing so, please let us know by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
